On April 13th local students participated in our STEM class entitled, "Power of the Wind". Students gathered to learn all about the engineering process. One student, who prior to beginning the class stated, "I don't want to do math!", quickly had change of heart, after learning about topics such as speed and velocity, weight and mass in a fun and exciting way!
Shameka Edwards, a parent in the program, shared "their excitement was obvious. They were so happy to share with their grandparents about how they solved problems and designed their projects. It was something they all could enjoy regardless of their age and they are definitely excited about the next class".
In partnership with 4-H, we will be offering additional STEM classes for students grades 4th-8th! Come discover and explore the world of STEM by registering your student today!
