4H S.T.E.M. Classes Available for Registration Now
Starting in the month of October, your child can have the opportunity to take part in three of the most intriguing science activities offered through the 4-H program. Lead by well-equipped teachers, students can engage in real life scenarios while also incorporating new materials.
*The first program “Motion Commotion,” will be on October 15th, 6-8pm. This will give students the chance to see how devastating the results of texting and driving can be. By calculating the motion and speed of a car, children can then see the true impact it can have on a still object.
*The second program “The Power of the Wind,” will be on October 22nd 6-8pm. While attending this particular program, students are shown how new generations of wind turbines and how much this can improve our society as a whole. Students are going to create devices that utilize wind power to complete various tasks.
*The final program is called “Robotics,” which will be on October 29th 6-8pm. The curriculum offered will teach young people design fundamentals by inspiring them to think creatively and critically as they build their own robots to solve a set of problems.
