The West Jersey Rebels took a few weeks off to enjoy the holidays, but they were back at work soon after the new year began. Both Rebels teams participated in a clinic that was run by Todd Louviaux, founder of the Grand Slam Blue Rocks, a premier travel baseball program in Reading, PA. He brought with him several of his coaches and players from the Post University baseball team in Waterbury, CT. The instructors spent 3 solid hours with all of the Rebels players, giving them both one-on-one and group instruction. Each of the players received simple yet valuable advice from their instructors. Hopefully they will all remember this advice when they take the field in the spring.
They Rebels also began their winter training just one week after their clinic. These winter workouts are taking place at the NJ Diamond Academy in Hainesport and the teams are spending alternate weeks working in the batting cages and on the field. As much as they are getting from the indoor workouts, the boys and their coaches are ready for warmer weather when they can get out on the baseball field again!
